Whenever I travel I always pack a macro lens, if I’m restricted on the amount of kit I can take having one means I can still do some wildlife photography. Even between safaris I will check the area around camp to see what is living close by, wasps, moths and spiders I’ll have a go at photographing them all. Macro is a tricky subject and one that requires patients, steady hands and an understanding of the creature in front of me. I’ll soon be offering studio sessions of reptiles, amphibians and insects, sign up to my newsletter if you want to know more.
